Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting freight safely and efficiently across various routes while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial driving, and vehicle maintenance, contributing to the smooth operation of our transportation services.
Responsibilities
Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment when necessary
Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation in accordance with company policies
Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures during transportation
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle readiness
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
Skills
Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
Knowledge of automotive repair basics for troubleshooting vehicle issues
Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS systems for route planning
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision
