Business degree or diploma in accounting, finance or business is ideal, but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Extensive knowledge and extensive experience with a different bookkeeping software packages, (Sage 50 or NetSuite is a bonus). Proven experience in a variety of accounting functions, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, government remittances, inventory management, account reconciliation and duty drawbacks Experience in year end preparation involvement – directly or working with external accountant. Effective oral and written communication skills in highly demanding and time sensitive situations. Proven ability to manage workload efficiently and meet deadlines. Proficient in MS Office computer programs. Experience with CRM/ERP software. Ability to work on multiple tasks, in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. Able to deal with confidential information. Ability to work with customers in a professional manner. Excellent organizational skills and driven to continuously learn new skills.
