The Operations Supervisor will be primarily responsible for visiting both residential and commercial job sites to determine accurate quantity estimates and costing of materials while ensuring exceptional customer service and attention to detail. The role of Operations Supervisor will also be tasked with overseeing the showroom, managing employee performance and supporting staff.

Estimating • Visit both residential and commercial job sites to assess work areas to gain an understanding of the customers’ requirements and desires. • Review specification packages and determine material requirements (i.e. trims, accessories, installation methods etc.). • Generate accurate quantity estimates and costing for takeoffs of each relevant floor type and provide summaries. Enter the scope, quantities, pricing and markups into our excel spreadsheets. • Review and analyze cost estimates and material requirements to determine a final quote. • Must ensure that all approved project estimations are promptly given to the Orderer/Scheduler. Supervising the Showroom • Support staff by answering phone calls, attending to customer walk-ins, helping with cash and carry orders, maintaining the showroom and ensure all client projects are progressing as scheduled. • Exhibit exceptional customer service at all times. • Ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly and act as a liaison between the owners and employees. • Use communication as a tool to provide clarity, understanding, and direction to employees. Lead by example to build trust, promote employee engagement and improve productivity. • Monitor and manage employee performance and provide feedback.
The Credentials • 2+ years’ experience estimating required. • 3+ years’ experience with, and a proficient understanding of construction specifications and drawings required, as well as experience in residential and commercial applications (i.e. carpet, LVP/SPC, hardwood & laminate, tile, etc.). • 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory position required. The Knowledge, Skills & Abilities • General knowledge and understanding of the various construction trades and terminologies. • Ability to confidently oversee and manage the work of others to achieve superior results. • Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively. • Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships to ensure client satisfaction and brand reputation. • Ability to multitask and problem-solve on site while always maintaining great attention to detail. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word). • Flexibility to adapt as business demands and willingness to assume other duties/responsibilities.
Work Hours: 
Monday through Friday, plus weekends on a rotating basis. Evenings and some overtime hours may be required to accommodate business demands and position requirements.
