Westridge HR & Safety is currently seeking to fill the role of House Person As a House Person, you will be responsible for providing guests with the best possible service and experience by ensuring that all hotel areas meet the highest standard of cleanliness.
Responsibilities: • Respond to all guest inquires and offer assistance • Maintain hotel premises by sweeping walking areas, cleaning windows, flower boxes and railings, and maintaining parking lots in summer and winter • Move soiled laundry to the laundry area • Replenish all closets • Empty all garbage and recycling; cleaning compactor bi-weekly • Clean pool and pool area daily • Receive freight when shipments arrive and restock stockroom • Report any maintenance problems that require immediate action to management as soon as discovered • Respond to calls from front desk • Assist the overall hotel operation as required
• A minimum of grade 10 or equivalent is required • Good verbal skills to communicate with guests, staff and management • Physically able to perform light to medium lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, bending, and walking • Previous experience in housekeeping or porting is preferred
