NATURE & SCOPE The roles of the RECE and CCP is to help carry out the day-to-day operations of the Child Care centre, helping to implement programs for children in care within the requirements of the current curriculum.

Responsibilities: 
- Responsible for the care and safety of the children - Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all parents, children, and fellow team members - Participate in training and adhere to the YMCA Child Protection Policies and Procedures as established by the YMCA of Niagara - Organize and implement activities for the group as outlined in the YMCA curriculum - Maintain a positive and professional relationship with all parents, children and fellow staff - Participate in training sessions when required
Qualifications: 
- Registered Early Childhood Educator, or Proof of enrollment in an accredited ECE program if applicable - Experience in a child care centre - Strong communication skills - Must be 18 years or older - Current standard first aid, and CPR - C certification - A clear Criminal Reference Check – Vulnerable Sector Search issued for the YMCA of Niagara COMPETENCIES - Child and Youth Focused - Commits to assisting growth and development among children and youth - Relationship Building and Collaboration - Builds positive interactions both internally and externally to achieve work related goals - Concern for Health and Safety - Acknowledges and understands how to manage and educate others of risk and harm reduction - Team Work - Actively builds teams and encourages open relationships for maximum organizational effectiveness
Base Salary: 
RECE ($19.03 + $2.00 WEG + $1.00 RECE premium) CCP ($17.06 + $2.00 WEG)
Work Hours: 
Permanent Part-time – 25 hours a week (Before school 7am-9am & After school 3pm-6pm) – approximately
