Responsibilities

Supporting the social and emotional engagement and growth of individuals accessing services

Ensuring the fulfillment of individual outcomes and needs as outlined in support plans

Working closely and collaboratively with families, team members and other community service providers

Providing personal care to youth and adults i.e., hygiene, toileting, eating and changing

Providing positive behavioral support to individuals with complex needs

Ability to work autonomously and as an individual collaborator

Ability to adapt and learn new skills in flexible work environment

Strict adherence to health, safety and risk management policies

Complete accurate notes, behavioral tracking, reports and other necessary documentation

Qualifications

Have or be working towards a Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Social Service, Psychology, Child and Youth Care , Education, Health Care or relayed fields

Experience supporting youth and adults with developmental Disabilities and complex Mental Health

A demonstrated ability to provide person-centered, strength-based support in collaboration with person receiving services and their Families.

Experience providing positive support to individuals with complex behavioral support needs.

Strong Written and Verbal communication skills

Experience supporting individuals with ASD and FASD is considered an asset

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and online workspace platforms

Knowledge of Applied Behavioral Analysis, DBT,ASIST and NVCI is considered an asset

Current First Ais and CPR

Current police vulnerable Sector Check

Valid g Class Driver's License and Clean Drivers Abstract

Medical clearance and proof of COVID -19 vaccination may be required for certain worksites.

Base Salary

$25.00

Work Hours

Casual/Hourly(minimum 3hrs/wk. commitment
Priority Hiring for weekend Support. Shifts Typically range from 5-12 hours, based on the service. Hours of service 8am to 8pm.
