POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting directly to the Controller, North America, the Assistant Controller plays a pivotal role in aligning financial reporting with operational decision-making. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual capable of simplifying processes and building a robust framework of structure, controls, and guidelines to support the accounting team. The Assistant Controller will also act as a liaison between plant operations and the financial team, ensuring accurate cost accounting, intercompany entries, and full-cycle accounting activities.

Responsibilities
Examining system parameters, performance metrics, configurations, and operational metrics, to derive insights or actionable data.
• Manage cost accounting and inventory revaluations (standard and “First In, First Out”) for two plants.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and entries, including inventory and profit eliminations.
• Support month-end close processes, with a special focus on operations in the USA and Mexico.
• Assist in the creation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts.
• Deliver actionable insights through detailed financial analysis.
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules for external auditors.
• Analyze cost center details and explain variances effectively.
• Ensure adherence to purchasing procedures and controls.
• Provide support for ERP system implementation and optimization.
• Consolidate financial statements across business units.
• Identify, assess, and execute risk and opportunity management strategies.
• Develop and maintain control processes, including month-end calendars and schedules.
• Hold team members accountable for meeting deadlines and delivering results.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support organizational goals.
Qualifications
3-5 years’ experience in accounting and finance, required;
• A minimum of 2 of these years in a manufacturing environment, required.
• Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in accounting or finance, required.
• A high level of proficiency in Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite, required.
• Accounting designation (CA, CPA, CMA, CGA), preferred.

Base Salary
$90,000 -- $100,000
Work Hours
40 hours/week; Full-Time, primarily Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
