ADL Process

The purpose of the Millwright is to ensure the continued operation of all equipment of the Company. The Millwright is responsible for ensuring that all equipment is in safe and proper condition for operation. The Millwright will also assist in all design, drawing, fabrication, construction, installation & maintenance of new projects & equipment. The Millwright is required to work efficiently and in accordance with all company health & safety policies. The Millwright works directly with the Operations Manager, and any temporary or permanent members of the construction & installation team.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve equipment failures as well as perform periodic inspections of equipment and systems
• Perform mechanical repair & maintenance activities throughout the plant on equipment and facilities.
• Experience with motors, hydraulics & pneumatic systems, bearings & gearboxes. Water heating and cooling systems. Reading blueprints and schematics. Equipment installations & rigging.
• Welding & fabrication. · Utilize Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement to maximize equipment output and processes
• Execute preventative maintenance activities including troubleshooting and repairs to all production equipment, hydraulic systems and pumps in a timely manner
• Utilize the computerized maintenance management system for processing work orders, PM’s and updating the equipment databases
• Support divisional and corporate objectives including health & safety, productivity, continuous improvement, innovation, quality, and waste Qualifications
• Solid mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Energetic and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Knowledgeable of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and possesses a strong safety focus ·
• Available and flexible to work in a fast paced and some slow paced environment, be self-driven to meet or exceed targets and work a flexible schedule that includes planned & unplanned shifts.
• Experience with electronics & PLCs. AC & DC motors and controls an asset.
• Ability to operate specialized vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.

Secondary responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance program: design, implementation and oversight with Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Industrial Millwright/ Certified Industrial Millwright 433A (Red Seal ticket) preferred or experience in the field.
• Experience in Welding is a must.
• 2 -3 years of work experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Clean drivers abstract.
• Physically fit & able to negotiate inclines, stairs and ladders able to perform physically demanding activities while working in all types of extreme hot environments, both indoors and outdoors. The job requires bending, kneeling, crawling, stooping, and standing for long periods of time. Must be physically able to push, pull, and lift 50 lbs. Working in conditions may include exposure to noise, dust.
• Willingness to work extended hours when and where required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
