How do I book an appointment?
Just give us a call at 905-358-0021 ext. 0 or come in person and we can book a date and time to suit you.
Are you a job placement agency?
No, we assist people in finding employment as well as help with resume creation, employment counselling and various workshops to help you succeed with your Job Search. We can offer details on how to connect with Placement Agencies.
Do I have to be a Niagara Falls resident to register?
No, but if you live in another City there are several Service Providers in the Niagara Region that provide the same services that we do at the Niagara Employment Help Centre.
How soon after my initial appointment will I get employed?
Once we have our initial appointment with you, we can determine your employment goals and what types of positions you are looking for. We will work with you to help you get employed as quickly as possible. Centre staff will advocate for you with employers to help you find long term sustainable employment.
Do you offer appointments over the phone?
Yes, if you are unable to attend in person, we can set up phone and virtual appointments to meet your needs.
If I’m already registered with another employment agency, can I still register with another agency?
Employment Service Providers offer the same services, so we encourage you to continue working with the Provider you are registered with. If you have moved out of a certain area, we can discuss your needs to help you access services closer to where you reside. If you require a referral to obtain specific supports, we will ensure that you are referred to the appropriate contact.
How long is the initial appointment?
The first appointment is typically one hour in length so we can discuss your skills and determine what types of supports you require. Additional appointments are scheduled that are approximately a half hour in length.
