Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY
The Attractions General Manager is a key position overseeing the daily operation, sales performance, safety, presentation standards and overall guest experience of all of the Niagara Clifton Group’s attractions, from mirror and laser mazes to a haunted house, fun house, indoor playland, mini-putt and gemstone mining. The Attractions General Manager provides leadership and guidance to attractions team members, supervisors and assistant managers. This position is vital to the organization’s continued success, playing a pivotal role in shaping memorable experiences for customers and guests.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Oversee the daily operation of all attractions, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and operational efficiency, including overseeing opening and closing procedures, inspections and operational checklists.

Monitor attraction performance and guest flow to minimize wait times and maximize capacity.

Recruit, train, schedule, supervise and manage attractions team members, supervisors and assistant managers, and plan staffing levels to align with business needs, accounting for peak and off-peak periods.

Provide coaching, performance feedback and ongoing employee development, and address performance concerns through appropriate follow-up while fostering a positive, engaging, team-oriented environment.

Maintain an effective floor presence, monitoring guest satisfaction, responding professionally to guest questions, concerns and complaints, and implement improvements or guest recovery steps as required.
• Coach and motivate attractions teams to process guest sales efficiently and accurately and to consistently
achieve departmental sales and combo targets.
• Enforce all safety policies, emergency procedures and operating protocols, conduct and document regular
safety inspections, and investigate and document accidents or incidents as appropriate.
• Support compliance with health and safety legislation, including AODA, WHMIS, SDS binder requirements
and supervisor obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Maintain inventory of attractions supplies, equipment, first aid kits and general operational supplies, and
coordinate timely follow-up on deficiencies, safety concerns and equipment issues with IT and
Maintenance departments.
• Coordinate point-of-sale system administration and updates, including sales points, departments,
categories, items, specials, ticket programs, discounts, reporting and team member sales accounts.
• Assist in developing operating budgets, monitor labour costs and scheduling efficiency, approve payroll
accurately and allocate labour by business unit based on hours of operation, preparing operational reports
and identifying areas for improvement.
• Maintain accountability for cash floats, petty cash, the department safe, keys, department property, comp
passes and ticket stock, investigating shortages or overages and coaching and training team members as
required.
• Support promotional events, seasonal attractions and special programming, collaborate with management
on new attraction ideas and guest engagement initiatives, and review and respond to online guest reviews
and feedback, escalating trends or service concerns as required.
• Carry out additional duties as requested by senior management to support overall operations.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of management experience in hospitality, tourism, attractions, retail or food service,
directing work, training and educating team members, required.
• Minimum 2 years managing salaried supervisors or assistant managers in high-volume, guest-facing
operation, with accountability for service standards, required.
• Minimum 2 years of demonstrated financial accountability, including controlling revenue and expenses,
labour cost management and contributing to operating budgets, required.
• Working knowledge of payroll and point-of-sale systems, required.
• Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent experience, required.
• First Aid/CPR certification required, or to be obtained within 90 days of hire, required.
• Ability to work a schedule that includes days, evenings, weekends and holidays, and extended hours during
peak seasonal periods, required.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Base Salary

$67,500 - $85,000
