Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Heat Treat Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating heat treatment equipment, ensuring maximum productivity while maintaining the highest product quality standards. You will perform processes including furnace and salt bath operations, temperature setting, cycle monitoring, and product testing in compliance with specifications, customer requirements, and certifications such as Nadcap and ISO.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Load untreated products into furnaces and salt baths for heat treatment
Set and monitor treatment temperatures based on supplied specifications
Observe treatment cycles, ensuring parameters remain within set tolerances
Cool products using water quenching or air cooling methods
Conduct hardness and property testing on samples to confirm spec compliance
Record all processing data for traceability and maintain accurate documentation
Participate in scheduled Nadcap and ISO audits
Operate cranes and other equipment as needed to handle materials
Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Qualifications/Experience:
High school diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent required
2 years of college/university in a related discipline OR 1–2 years of equivalent on-the-job manufacturing experience
Experience operating industrial furnaces, salt baths, or related heat treatment equipment is preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Mechanical aptitude with experience using a variety of tools and measuring equipment
Knowledge of quality standards, inspection requirements, and documentation practices
Forklift and crane operation experience is an asset
