Do you have a sharp eye for detail and a curiosity for solving problems others overlook? SWS Warning Lights Inc. is seeking an Inventory Specialist who takes ownership of inventory accuracy and ensures our ERP system reflects what is truly happening on the production floor.

This role goes beyond moving materials or counting parts. You will investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and correct system data so our team has the right materials at the right time and our clients receive reliable products without delay. • Someone Who Only Wants Physical Warehouse Work: While this role involves handling materials, it is fundamentally about inventory accuracy and problem solving, not just moving parts.
• Someone Who Ignores Data Discrepancies: Inventory errors require investigation. We are looking for someone who is curious enough to ask why something is wrong and persistent enough to resolve it.
• Someone Who Works in Isolation: Inventory impacts every department. This role requires strong collaboration with cross-functional departments.
• Someone Who Treats Safety as Optional: Safety is non-negotiable at SWS.

Responsibilities

Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept It
• Inventory Ownership: Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, investigations, and ERP transactions/adjustments.
• Root Cause Investigator: Leading investigations into discrepancies to determine the underlying cause and how to prevent it in the future.
• ERP Accuracy Steward: Perform the necessary ERP transactions to correct inventory issues, including adjustments, transfers, and reconciliations, ensuring system accuracy.
• Material Flow Coordinator: Support production by ensuring materials are properly staged, stored, and available when needed using Kanban and MRP systems.
• Cross-Department Collaborator: Act as a key communication link between departments to resolve inventory challenges.
• Space & Process Optimizer: Assist in organizing production cells and inventory locations to improve efficiency and support accurate inventory management.
• Receiving Gatekeeper: Ensure all incoming materials are accurately received, inspected, labeled, and entered into the ERP system so inventory begins correctly the moment it arrives.
• Safety Champion: Maintain and operate warehouse equipment responsibly while following all safety procedures.

Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate

• Accountable: You take ownership of issues and follow them through to resolution.
• Collaborative: You work well across departments and communicate clearly with teammates.
• Strong Problem Solver: You can analyze discrepancies and develop practical solutions.
• Comfortable with Data and Systems: Experience with ERP systems or inventory software is an asset.
• Basic Mathematical Skills: Able to perform calculations related to inventory counts and material quantities.
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift and move materials as needed (up to approximately 50 lbs).

Base Salary

$22.00 per hour.
