Innovation Building Maintenance
We are seeking a hands on Working Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning operations at a high-traffic outdoor outlet mall. This role requires a strong leader who will actively participate in cleaning duties while managing staff, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring the site is consistently presented at a high level.
This is a fast-paced environment with significant fluctuations in traffic and demand. The successful candidate must be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing both people and operations in real time.

Responsibilities
Staff Supervision & Scheduling
Supervise and support a team of cleaners across multiple shifts (day, evening, and night operations)
Ensure all shifts are fully staffed; coordinate coverage for absences and sick calls
Enforce company policies, procedures, and attendance expectations
Train new staff and provide ongoing coaching to improve performance
Address performance issues promptly and escalate when required
Cleaning & Quality Control
Actively participate in cleaning duties alongside the team
Ensure all areas (washrooms, common areas, entrances, food court, exterior walkways) meet company standards at all times
Conduct regular inspections throughout shifts and correct deficiencies immediately
Ensure high-visibility areas (glass, entrances, washrooms) are consistently maintained
Take and submit daily inspection photos
Operations Management
Coordinate daily cleaning priorities based on site conditions, weather, and traffic volume
Ensure deep cleaning tasks are completed (night cleans, periodic work, etc.)
Monitor and maintain cleaning equipment (auto scrubbers, sweepers, etc.)
Ensure supplies are stocked at all times
Submit supply orders in a timely manner
Reporting & Communication
Maintain clear and consistent communication with management
Report issues, incidents, and site concerns in real time
Ensure all reporting (photos, logs, updates) is completed accurately and on time
Follow all company SOPs, including proper sick call handling and escalation procedures
Qualifications
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, outdoor environment
Ability to operate cleaning equipment (training provided if needed)
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
Reliable and punctual with strong accountability
Ability to speak, read, and write in English at a conversational level
Base Salary
$22/hour to $26/hour depending on experience, promotion opportunities available within company
Work Hours
Work hours may change as needed to address staff as the facility operates from 6am to 12:00am daily.
However the standard working hours are:
Tuesdays: 8:00am to 4:00pm
Wednesdays: 8:00am to 4:00pm
Thursdays: 8:00am to 4:00pm
Fridays: 8:00am to 4:00pm
Saturdays: 12:00pm to 8:00pm

Previous supervisory experience, preferable in cleaning or facilities services
