Assisted Service

Individuals that are unemployed or underemployed (working less than 20 hours per week), can meet with one of our experienced Employment Counselors to receive one-on-one employment counselling and job search support which can include:

  • Resume and Cover Letter Writing
  • Assistance with Clarifying Employment, Training and Career Goals
  • Local Labour Market Information
  • Job Search Strategies
  • Interview tips and information on how to approach employers effectively
  • Information on Apprenticeships, Post Secondary and other Educational Information
  • Community resource and referral information

Resource Area

Our Resource Area is free to use and open to everyone looking for assistance with their job search. Resources include:

  • Job Postings through our Website and local job boards including the Job Bank
  • Resource Library with information on job search techniques
  • Computers with High Speed Internet Access
  • Access to Fax Machine, Photocopier and Laser Printer
  • Local Labour Market Information
  • Assistance with completing online applications
  • Access to a free message service for registered clients with no phone access
  • Local newspapers

Youth Job Link

Available to youth between the ages of 15 – 29.

Youth Job Link (YJL) is a new youth employment program designed to help youth, including students, aged 15 to 29, who could benefit from some extra help to plan their careers and transition to the labour market.

The program offers a range of employment services for young people to gain career management skills, get exposure to career exploration activities, and get help finding employment, including full-time, summer and part-time employment.

If you have never worked before, Job Matching Services are available to assist you with obtaining employment.
