Job Overview:
We’re looking for a reliable, hard-working individual to help with daily farm operations. This role involves safely handling live chickens, maintaining clean barns, following biosecurity protocols, and ensuring animal welfare.
Key Duties:
• Catch, handle, and load chickens safely for transport.
• Keep accurate poultry counts and records.
• Clean and disinfect barns, coops, and equipment.
• Monitor flock health and assist with vaccinations.
• Operate and maintain barn systems (water, temperature, airflow).
• Support breeding and flock care.
• Follow all safety, biosecurity, and welfare standards.
• Work cooperatively with the farm team to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

Requirements:
• Farm or livestock experience preferred (training provided).
• Basic understanding of safety and biosecurity.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs and work in farm conditions (dust, odors, low lighting).
• Comfortable working overnight or early morning shifts
• Must wear steel-toe boots and dark-colored clothing.
• Physically fit and willing to follow on-site training.
